The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Penn State has an opening in biomaterials, broadly defined:
MATSE is the home of polymers at Penn State and along with Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, we have over 15 faculty deeply embedded in the polymers communities around the globe. The infrastructure and environment on campus for research is excellent and we are looking for outstanding junior or senior candidates to join us. The department is highly ranked and we have a lot of flexibility for the right candidate that is well-established with a robust research presence. A materials-first researcher with deep skills in synthesis of polymers or structure-property relationships applied to biological problems would be an excellent fit for this position.
