COLGATE UNIVERSITY – BIOCHEMISTRY
Colgate University seeks to fill an assistant professor position in the
area of biochemistry beginning in Fall 2017. PhD required. The duties
include teaching general chemistry and the appropriate upper-level
biochemistry courses and associated laboratories, as well as directing
an active undergraduate research program. The successful candidate will
also be expected to participate in university-wide programs, including
the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The Department offers strong BA
programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry and has excellent facilities for
biochemistry research, including a dual beam x-ray diffractometer. One
year of research is required of all senior majors. Student participation
in faculty research programs is strongly encouraged and supported,
during both the academic year and summer. New faculty members receive
generous start-up support, and student stipends for summer research are
