Lecturer in Chemistry Appointment
Position Summary. The Department of Chemistry at Gettysburg College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track lecturer position beginning August 2018. This is a renewable teaching-focused position. The candidate is expected to contribute to both lectures and laboratories in our General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry sequences. Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year (four lecture sections and two laboratory sections), being actively involved in the coordination and oversight of our General and Organic Chemistry laboratories, and assisting tenure-track faculty with the running of our General and Organic Chemistry courses.
Qualifications. We seek an individual who has a genuine interest in teaching and student advising/mentoring within the liberal arts. Candidates must have a doctorate (or be ABD) in chemistry or a closely allied field. College-level teaching experience is preferred.
