EPA Modeling and Software Tools Developer

The EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is searching for an EPA Modeling and Software Tools Developer with the Office of Research and Development at the EPA facility in Research Triangle Park facility in Raleigh Durham, NC. The Developer will support information technology for the Life Cycle-Human Exposure Model, including scientific research focused on chemical exposure modeling, and the development of software tools and support of modular programming. The job is expected to begin November 2016.

  • Full time, $27.72/hour

  • Must have earned at least a Master’s degree in computer sciences, information technology, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, environmental health, exposure science or related field

  • Must have experience in programming languages such as R and Python, developing scientific models for chemical exposure, and working on a deadline

  • Will perform tasks such as developing scientific modules, providing IT support, and ensuring effective integration of web services
