A postdoctoral position is available in Prof. Chulsung Bae’s group in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute focusing on the synthesis and characterization of ion-conducting polymers for electrochemical energy conversion applications. Interested candidates should have a background in one or several of the following areas: organic molecules synthesis, polymerization of functionalized monomers, chemical modifications of polymers, and/or characterization of polymer structures (SEC, NMR, SAXS). The position is available immediately with a term of one year and may be extended for an additional year based on satisfactory progress and additional funding considerations.
