A postdoctoral position is available in the Rupar group (http://rupargroup.as.ua.edu/) in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Alabama. The project will focus on the polymerization of aziridines/azetidines and the synthesis of polyelectrolytes. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry (or related field) with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas organic chemistry, living anionic polymerizations, and condensation polymerizations. Candidates must be experienced in the handling of air-sensitive chemicals.
The start date is flexible but a start time in Fall 2019 is preferable. The position has a term of one year and may be extended for an additional year based on satisfactory performance.
