A postdoctoral position is available in the Wynne laboratory in Chemical and Life Science Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University. The full time position is for one year and includes health benefits. The research area focuses on novel methods for studying the surface science of silicone coatings. Pt-cured and condensation cured systems and novel surface modification chemistry are of interest. As a specific example of research, surface modification will be correlated with studies of adsorption of electrolytes. Characterization methods include dynamic contact angles (DCA), ATR-IR, zeta potentials, XPS and AFM. Recent publications in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and Langmuir can be studied for representative research interests.
