Research Assistant Professor

THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH is currently recruiting for a full-time Research Assistant Professor, pending budgetary approval. This position will be outside the tenure stream. The successful candidate will design and implement cutting-edge research in synthetic method development, catalyst design, and the synthesis of biologically relevant compounds, assist in the daily operation, training, and administration of the Brummond laboratory, conduct research, and participate in collaborative proposal and manuscript preparation. The applicant must have a PhD in organic chemistry and a minimum of three years of work or postdoctoral experience, and excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in day-to-day operation of a research group is desired.
