The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Clemson University (http://www.clemson.edu/mse/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of polymer materials science, with a starting date of August 15, 2019. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and/or postdoctoral experience in materials science and engineering, polymer chemistry and/or physics, polymeric materials engineering, or related disciplines. The Department has vigorous research and comprehensive infrastructure in the area of polymer science. The successful candidate is expected to develop nationally and internationally recognized, externally funded research program focused on design, synthesis, and/or fabrication of novel functional adaptive polymeric materials. Candidates are also expected to strive for excellence in teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise.
