The Department of Chemistry at The Pennsylvania State University seeks outstanding applicants for tenure-track faculty positions in all areas of chemistry, broadly defined. Both junior and senior candidates are encouraged to apply. While the research focus of the search is broad, candidates whose scientific interests complement those of existing faculty are preferred. Areas of particular interest include analytical, environmental, inorganic, organic, physical, polymer, and theoretical/computational chemistry, as well as interdisciplinary research in the materials and life sciences, but exceptional candidates across all areas of chemistry will be considered. Successful applicants should have a Ph.D., an outstanding record of research accomplishments, an innovative future research plan, and be capable of achieving teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
