Overview:
The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Tenure-Track Position in Analytical Chemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences, starting September 1, 2017.
Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in analytical chemistry. The position requires teaching both lecture and laboratory courses and requires developing and maintaining an active program of undergraduate research that leads to external funding and peer-reviewed journal articles. Significant credit for teaching is given for work with undergraduate student researchers. Research interests can be in any field of analytical chemistry.
The University of St. Thomas Chemistry Department is ACS accredited, currently consisting of fourteen full-time faculty plus support staff. The department is very well equipped with modern instrumentation and is actively engaged in undergraduate research.
Qualifications:
Candidates with a Ph.D. in chemistry or related discipline are strongly preferred, but ABD will be considered. The ideal candidate would possess a combination of graduate and post-graduate experience, including familiarity with a wide range of instruments.
