The Department of Chemistry at LSU has 34 tenure-track faculty, complemented by 10 instructors and 22 staff. Research is supported by a range of state and federal agencies and recent junior faculty successes include a DOE Early Investigator, a Beckman Young Investigator and two NSF CAREER awards. Research facilities are housed in Choppin Hall and the 2012 Chemistry & Materials Building. Our graduate program currently hosts a diverse group of 140 PhD students.
